Join us for Firestorm Games Cardiff's first Board game championship.
These events will run roughly every 2 months for 1 year with the final event being held in July 2025.
Each of these events will focus on a different game with players playing multiple games through the day to compete for points and prizes.
This first event will based around Ticket to Ride Europe.
Each player will play 3 games across the day with each game taking no more than 2 hours.
Points will be kept on record with prizes given out at the end of each season for the top 4 players over all events.
Store opens at 10am Game 1 start at 11am
Points will be awarded per game as follows:
1st place - 4pts
2nd place - 3pts
3rd place - 2 pts
4th place - 1 pts
Prizes for 1st and 2nd overall and spot prizes for all players from the hobby next ticket to Ride event kit.
Season points will be awarded to all players who attend with the top 8 receiving additional points.
Players that are able to bring their own copy of Ticket to Ride Europe to use should e-mail swgc.events@gmail.com if they wish to offer this so that we can increase ticket numbers. Any player who is taken up on this offer will receive a refund of £3.50 on their purchased ticket.
The South Wales Gaming Centre will be open for gaming from 11am.
Refunds will be subject to a £2.50 administration fee. Any request for a refund one week or less before the event will only be possible if there is a reserve list of players who can take up any refunded ticket.
Our on site Cafe facility will be open for the sale of a variety of hot food.
A vending machine selling soft drinks and snacks, a licensed bar and a vending machine dispensing fresh tea and coffee is available in The South Wales Gaming Centre.
No external food or drink is allowed in The South Wales Gaming Centre.
