Parking
There is a large retail park just behind Firestorm Games by Cardiff City's stadium with a public path that connects to Sloper Road. Parking is generally for a limited time with no return but you can park in the Asda car park and pay for the day or weekend here.
Other parking options are sometimes available on non match days at the Cardiff City Stadium, more information here.

Our extensive Board Game library is available for use if you book a Board Game table. Please ask at the till if you would like to borrow a game.

The Venue
The South Wales Gaming Centre contains The Battlefields and The Arena within the venue.
The Battlefields: can provide up to 50 6'x4' tables. We can provide tables and terrain for space, fantasy, historical or sci-fi games supporting Star Wars: X-Wing, Warhammer: Age of Sigmar and Warhammer: 40,000, Infinity, Malifaux and many more games.
All of our tables have space between them available for drinks, books or bags. We invest heavily in maintaining the quality of our gaming tables and the terrain available for players to use.
If you require a table in The Battlefields that is not 6'x4 or 4'x4' please tell us when you purchase your ticket or contact The South Wales Gaming Centre here at least two days before you arrive so that any necessary arrangements can be made in advance. If you don't request a non standard table in advance we may not be able to arrange it at short notice.
The Arena: can provide up to 70 6' tables for Board Games, Card Games and Role-Playing Games.
Tickets
Tickets are available for casual wargaming, role-playing/board games and organised play as well as specific events via our Events page here on a first come first served basis and must be purchased before arrival at the venue.
The only exception to this is entry for casual card gaming. These tickets can be purchased on arrival at the venue subject to availability and only if the space is not required for Organised Play.
Tickets for casual wargaming, role-playing/board games and organised play are available one week in advance on the website.
Tickets for casual wargaming and role-playing/board games are available until 5pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and until 1pm on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. For organised play events tickets are available until 5.45pm on the day.

Our kitchen facilities are run by a professional chef and provide a fully functioning kitchen serving hot food and breakfast rolls with an extensive and varied menu. Our bar serves both alcoholic and soft drinks and offers draft beer, lager and cider from a local craft brewery, Tiny Rebel Brewing Co. We ask that you don’t bring your own food or drink into The South Wales Gaming Centre.
The venue is close to two train stations and is easily accessible from the M4 motorway. We are less than an hour from both Bristol and Cardiff airport, both of which have good bus or car links to Cardiff and Bristol airport in particular providing excellent links to Europe and beyond as a hub for EasyJet. We have on-site parking available and there is parking available in the surrounding area if required.
We are located within walking distance of the centre of Cardiff with its excellent retail and entertainment facilities and with several hotels, from budget to more expensive, nearby.

The Battlefields
Tabletop Wargames in a fun friendly environment.
Tickets must be purchased before entering the venue.
For games such as Star Wars: X-Wing, Bloodbowl and any Games Workshop boxed game such as Kill Team, Underworlds or Warcry; players will be allocated a suitable table on arrival.
Please fill in the Game Being Played information, it will help ensure we have the correct table available for you on arrival.
One Day Battlepass £5 per person.
Quarterly Battlepass £35 per person.
Annual Battlepass £120 per person.
Note: Tickets are generally available one week in advance and are unavailable after 5pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and after 1pm on any other day.
The Arena
Card, Board and Roleplaying Games in a fun friendly environment.
Tickets must be purchased before entering the venue*.
Entry on any other day for Organised Play or for events is as per the stated ticket price.
Please fill in the Type of Table Required information, it will help ensure we have the correct table available for you on arrival.
Note: Tickets are generally available one week in advance and are unavailable after 5.45pm on the day.
* The only exception is casual card gaming tickets. These tickets can be purchased on arrival at the venue subject to availability and only if the space is not required for Organised Play. Casual card play tickets cost £3.
Lockers
Customers can rent a locker in The South Wales Gaming Centre.
Annual Locker Fee £30 per locker
Quarterly Locker Fee £17.50
Daily Locker Fee £10
(Fee includes £5 deposit, paid on return of the locker key. A locker will be cleared two weeks after the rental expiry date and the items will be disposed of after that date. The South Wales Gaming Centre are not liable for the contents of any locker that is cleared after the rental expiry date).
